DAD is 24/96 stereo, the difference between DAD and DVD-A is DVD-A is encrypted and it can has multi-channels track. DAD use DVD-Video standards. It's stereo only and 24bit/96Khz. The pros of DAD is it can be played on normal DVD players and mostly important, because it's not encrypted, thus you can digital-output to external DAC. If you google 'Classic Records DAD', you will find more information. HDAD simply means one side is DAD, the other side is DVD-A 24/192. |
