-M-audio, Prodigy (I'm using) are better choice; Personally I don't
trust Creative products.
Dscaler vs tv-tuner box vs VCR tuner via component
-forget about tv-tuner box 
-tv-card: trust CKL (I'm using asus tv card with philips 7134,
Compro should be better than mine),
-VCR tuner to tv-card via S-video, then using dscaler may be the
best choice for you if budget is limited
-software: recommend windvr
Using HTPC as DVD recorder
-recommend windvr
-keep your PC's software as simple as possible, i don't recommend to
use it to connect to internet (unless for driver or software
update); because you need not to install firewall or anti-virus
software. I just use USB harddisk to download driver or software
update from other computer. |

TV picture quality depends on the tuner, DAC and deinterlacing. The
tuner from VCR or DVDR normally better than that in PCTV card or
box. The best DAC is Philips 71xx chipset. The best video
deinterlacing is Faroudja DCDi.
2. 要色差入,係唔係一定要用pdi delux? how much?
Yes, around $1700.
3. 有乜ｔｖ ｃａｒｄ係好ｄ（尤其是ｓｏｆｔｗａｒｅ）？

4. 當dvd 錄影機用,係唔係好多問題?
It depends how good of the software. Generally speaking, the
deinterlacing by software is not good.
5. 出720p,架機係唔係唔駛咁勁,大概乜config ok?
Not big difference. The output resolution depends on your display
device. We normally output the native resolution to your display
device. Say, if you are using 720P LCD projector, then you just
need to set the HTPC to output 720P. |

我都想砌部htpc,會用來駁720p既lcd pj.
暫時諗住會用來:
1. 睇dvd
2. 聽歌 (聽monkey audio, mp3...)
3. 用dscaler睇電視
4. 當dvd 錄影機
5. 駁色差入黎再用dscaler打機(gc, ps2)
6. 上網
請問:
