6l6 and el34 normally not compatible bow, unless amp designed for it.
For output tubes, 6l6 normally gives thicker, warmer vocals. El34 gives
more silky sound.
I got a set of very new 2nd hand JJ for my int amp. Its a good all round
performer for its price, but don't expect it would have the "taste"
or "details" of the NOS tubes.

my amp is power amp, 805 x 2, 6l6 x 2, 6n9 x 2
I changed 6n9 to mullard cv569
so want change 6l6 to el34 |

I have some limited tube experience in el84, not 34, those eastern
europe tubes will not sound very different from the stock tubes come
with the amp, and the power tubes should be the last tubes to change.
I found that changing the x7 in my mt12 makes the biggest difference,
then the pair of u7, the last is the el84.
general speaking, tubes from mullard will sound warm and smooth and
甜滑人聲, but depends on combination and many many other things......
if your amp is a integrated tube amp, may be you should try to replace
the tubes of pre amp part first, more cost effective. |

I want to buy el34 tube to push 805, I dont like太慢聲， I like hard bass & anaylsis, 甜滑人聲, any suggestion? budget about $100 - 400 each.
另外，有冇人知JJ el34 (blue) 乜聲底?
