Actually, i already have 963sa, and i am quite satisfied with the Audio as well as video quality.
Actually, 948 is a 2 years later product. Is it good enough to worth to upgrade? If not, i think 963sa is a classics!  |

If you consider the audio quality, Denon DV-2900 also is the choice which is under 4K but the audio & video quality is good.  |

i have 963sa and feel the audio part is great , after i compare my friend 948 . No doubt , the 963 audio part must better than 948 in both sacd and cd level. In the other hand, the video part of 948 (digital part---dvi) felt better than 963 if u connect to projector. hope this helpful. |

I own a 963SA. After experiencing the poor service of Philips, I swear not to buy any Philips product in the future. Do you want to bet your luck?
Frankly speaking, 963SA's audio performance is really good in its price range. I have never auditioned HD948. Thus, cannot tell you which one is better. However, digital technology advances quickly. I will not be surprised that HD948 can beat 963SA because they have generation gaps of 2 years. |

Which one is better in listening CD or SACD? both can upscale to 24bit/192k.
Which one is better in watching DVD? i guess Samsung is better due to DVI in.
Anyone used both?
