So Li On, the sony projector's problem cannot be solved with the Iscan HD+?? It's a shame that Sony's quality on their products has comedown since the turn of the century. I just hope they will get their act together......  |

我用緊HS50加iscanHD,不是HD+試過用DVI加HDMI adaptor,出720P,仍然有黑框問題,但iscanHD+有冇改進,我唔知,我個人認為就算是HD+,可能仍然有這問題出現。 |

Thanx for the finding this out for us. I am looking foreward to the results. I am very excited. So if the ISCAN can truely fix the problem, the plasma enhancer should be able to do the job as well (with firmware)!! I am so happy my search for the projector is close to finish  |

Hi Phat,
We tested HS50 with HTPC and 720P DVD player. Yes, it can't get 1:1 mapping of 720P at HDMI but VGA input is OK. AVS member report that Iscan HD can do 1:1 mapping with HS50. We will verify it later. |

I have rainbow eyes and the best LCD at under $30,000 is the sony HS-50. But after seeing your review on BUZZ & doing a search on AVS forum, I found the problems with HS-50's HDMI input is not solved yet (well at least in the US). There's 2 types of thoughts:
1) The original HDMI output of 720P with blackborder was actually P-to-P.
2) The new firmware/updated version was just rescaling the incorrect mapping to fit the output window, in other words, Not fixing the problem!!
So do you have a chance to check on the updated/newer versions of HS-50. Any idea what the situation is like in HK, because the sales are very reluctant to talk about them. Please Help!!!!!
