我想問下805, 升級左最新firmware之後, 有咩改善???

咁都要部機仲賣緊 ONKYO 先至會幫佢出新 firmware, 吾通 ONKYO 仲會出幫 804 出新 firmware咩, 不過今次有新 firmware 俾 DSP 咁就一定有改良音質, 大家係時候去 update. |

請問今次update完，會唔會好似ps3過兩個月又有新ver update，咁未又要抬過倍機去update，定話睇定D先，等到臨過保養期至抬去up。 |

I brought it to Onkyo directly......super heavy!
For pick up service...it cost you HK$150 per trip.
That mean you need to pay for HK$300.
Moreover, it need to wait for one week!
BTW, to all Ching,
I have found a little change!
My 805 is warm during "stand by" mode, however, after update, the body is cold under the same mode....like my previous Onkyo 603...
And Onkyo staff told me that 905 cannot use web to update as per their Japan's instruction......he told me that they also want to provide web update to us if this is possible! Hope Onkyo Japan find a better way for update later!!!!! |

Upgraded today. My old firmware was 1.05 / 07927A, after the upgrade:
1. Firmware: 1.08 / 08223A
2. DSP: 07601A --> 08214A
3. Setup menu is the same as 1.05
The I used Mic to Auto Tune again:
1. Speaker Distance are very acurate, except Sub-woofer, similar to previous one
2. Speaker Calabration: the speaker levels are quite difference than previous one.
3. after Auto-Tune, use Hi-Vi to do final speaker level calabration. Again, the settings are a little bit different than before
4. on DVD mode, press HDMI-Out to select "Main" or "Sub" HDMI out. Pop once only.
OK, then use DTS-9, 300BD, Die-Hard BD to test the result:
1. I feel it's a little bit more detail than before
2. the surround effect is better
3. the overall sound stage is a little bit better
4. other than this, there is no big difference

Last time I brought SR-605. Onkyo supplied the disc for me to Update firmware by DVD machine. Now I buy SR-875 already, Why can not use this mode to Update??
Can Onkyo also send again? |

既然已經提供升級服務, 何不在網頁大方公報最新firmware版本及其更新內容 
好讓客戶有更多資料參考去決定更新與否....希望onkyo代理認真考慮下  |

Onkyo has specially stated 1.06 and 1.07 will not be released to users or service centers for upgrades. They also will not release any information on what the updates do, beyond commenting that it does not alleviate the problems that have users so unhappy (audio delay, HDMI issues, etc.).
Onkyo also commented on the "firmware fiasco" that happens over here on AVS by users passing around the upgrade between each other. They do not want a repeat and thus will not let lose any more upgrades in the wild. This also explains why Joerod fell off the planet and is no longer commenting on firmware updates.
