Hey Angus don't worry about it, we are all a bunch of AV nerds thrashing out our best guesses for the future, the main thing is to have fun while doing it, none of us really has any control over it as an individual anyway.
To be honest even as a PS3 user, I really don't care who won as long as one solid viable format is there until the next wave comes, enough of those betamax, SACD/DVD-A fiasco which honestly wasted a lot of our hard earn money. If it is HDDVD, so be it since down the line most people who surf forum such as this one will go out and buy a separate HD player anyway, as long as the software is great and reasonably priced, that’s fine with me whether it is Blu or Purple Ray!
One thing though about what ATC Fans commented, I just want to know from ATC Fans whether what he commented or hinted, is a factual matter, or his personal opinion, if it is a fact, I would sure like to see where that came from. |

Dear Angus,
Please don't take it personally, I just thought that since the format is already on the way out, one should stop spending anymore money on it, of course unless $ is not an issue, than I guess it's up to individual choices, just like I gather some of us are still die hard LD fans, that's fine as long as the user is happy. |

自己因為每邊都有獨家既戲想睇, 唯有買齊兩邊機, 但心底都係鐘意同支持hddvd多啲.
自問不是不支持Blu-ray, 只是點都無咁投入, 但屋企BD碟仍然俾HD碟多,無計,始終片源較多係事實. 同埋自問真係好鍾意係屋企睇碟, 有好多戲實在等唔.
不過今次hd dvd 咁怏玩完, 除左幾可惜外都有些始料不及,自從華立單野都知佢死梗, 只是…..估唔到
而家唯有寄望快d大減價, 最好d碟就賣10美金樓下, 同埋部港版XE-1跌到落$3500就立即買多部 . 總之擺明趁 :flareup: 買平野
啱啱買左機既朋友我建議橫掂部機都係度,不如趁低價入多d碟仲好 , 統一格式後, 我估d碟會無以前成日有買一送一既優惠 |

我唸係壓縮格式問題掛,hd-dvd比到我好高清感(個人)
我用過360出hdmi,亦試過將個rom駁入電腦,用powerdvd睇,畫面都好正...
但係o個種"正"....我又唔知點形容....唉....
blu-ray都係清...但係...又唔知點解,睇完hd-dvd後,
我覺得我較為鐘意hd-dvd o個種...尤其係睇完我個frd o個部805後
我先決定訂a35...因為比xbox正太多了...無論畫及聲....獨立player就係唔同 |

我唔知到底係我架XBOX駁色差出黎係咁,定
HD DVD本身都係咁.我睇大部份HD DVD的片,
個畫面的對比,色調都比較像戲院睇的感覺,有菲林感好多.
相比BD,成日我覺得佢D SHARPNESS較過哂頭,
我用PLASMA都已經銳到出哂黎,想像唔到用LCD睇會點,
感覺唔係咁好... |

PS3作為一部遊戲機來講,我個人唔鍾意比多幾十蚊買同一款遊戲,
所以我會選360,但佢作為blu-ray player同media player來講,
就真系超掂...dvd upscale,blu-ray播放,harddisk放高清片,以佢售價
來講,真繫好扺...
不過,我更唔鍾意香港sony迫人買野,要買ps3一定要連乜連物,好討厭
我淨想買o黎睇片唔得o既...我明明想買牛肉系要我買埋生菜...之後仲要
話"你睇我d生菜幾好賣"
btw...amazon仲未有即時反應,我相信星期一個價會恐慌性拋售掛...
而家唯有等星期一 |

我都係十一月買,個陣成千四重要春都無粒送...
不過HD DVD夾著MS$呢D都係折墮,
唔內置已經算,機當初又無HDMI,加左HDMI又係只可以傳送老式DD,DTS.
完全無係上面攪過乜.相比PS3,大家鬧佢遊戲方面衰到暈,但係BD,
甚至一個MEDIA CENTRE黎講,真係幾全面.
雖然重係BIT STREAM唔到,但相比下已經差唔止一線.
重要SONY有SONY PICTURE(COLUMBIA)打底呢BD陣營...
東芝真係死得慘...我都係鐘意HD DVD多D...唉...
我女友覺得佢播出黎,有電影感好多架... |

Me too, Amazon is the one I surf the most.
But did you surf Amazon Germany or UK?
Germany one has lots of goodies, like "Hero (Chinese one from Jet Li)", "Hannibal Rising", "Bug" from Ashley Judd, "Tomb Raider 2" and "The Island". Most of them have DTS HD (High Res or MA).
I also bought Rambo 1-3 HD from Amazon France  |

I agree with Angus Lee here.
I have 90 HD dvd's and more than 20 are coming because of the crazy discount from Amazon. About the lifetime of HD dvd player. I don't think it's the issue as this should last at least 5 or even 10 years if no abuse 
I have no regret as I never see any "Matirx" better than the "Matrix Trilogy" in HD DVD  |
