我用1080p 50 hz 睇atv新聞台覺唔覺d字幕時模時清,重有爛字問題.
唔知大家有冇咁既問題? or This is hardware problem or firmware problem. ? |

If you find TVBHD to be 暗淡, please change to channel 85, then go to Settings -> Video, then turn off Black Enhancer. Note that this is a per-channel setting. |

Magic TV is designed to output up to 1080i for component output. Therefore if you use component output, all channels can be upscaled to 1080i if the video output format is set to 1080i. |

I have upgraded my antenna from indoor type to 漁骨.
However, the audio output ffom coxial is sometimes 窒.
For video aspect, nothing wrong!
I checked it at PM two months ago but they said nothing wrong.
Is it hardware had problem?

Hi Li On,
I have referred to the user manual and tried many times to make the MTV3000 learns the signal of my Pioneer 428XG remote but not successful.
Step 1:
Press "Power Button" and "MTV" buttons together and then the light will flash slowly
Step 2:
Press the key on MTV remote that wanted to learn
Step 3:
Press the button on the Pioneer TV remote.
Step 4:
The MTV remote should learnt the signal but not successfuI after tried many times
Would you please help?

我發現用VLC player, play MTV3000 錄的節目, 標清好暢順, 但係播高清節目就好唔順, 畫面仲會Hangs, 我用WD Mybook 錄, copy 到PC Local harddisk 播, PC 係I ntel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz + 2GB Ram.
Pls help! thx!

You need to install the correct codecs and may be different media player.
Try K-Lite codec (search for it) with Media Player Classic. After installing the correct codecs, Windows Media Player 11 can also play the recording file smmothly. |

You said "use WD Mybook & Y cable". are you using 2.5" USB harddrive? If so the problem of "但係有幾次 Timeshifting 畫面 hang, 但有聲. 要Stop timeshifting then 轉台, 畫面先可以正常" maybe due to the 2.5" harddrive speed too slow for both recording and playback (timeshift) at the same time. For the most stable performance, please use 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply.

1&4. We'll check.
2. Since your WD MyBook will auto-off when MTV3000 goes into standby, i.e. not running 7x24, so I personally think this is not much of a concern. Besides, it should have 3 year warranty if I'm not mistaken. 
3. We'll continue to work with Sigma Designs to see if any further improvement can be made.

When the auto standby message appears, please press any button on the remote control to clear the message and turn off auto standby. When you want to enable the message and enable auto standby again (during recording), press the standby button.
I hope there will be slightly more program descriptions from broadcasters, especially ATV. |

有小小問題, pls help.
1. 我用MTV3000 好暢順, 但係有幾次 Timeshifting 畫面 hang, 但有聲. 要Stop timeshifting then 轉台, 畫面先可以正常. I use WD Mybook & Y cable
2. 有沒有test 過 any HDD with Fan built-in ? 如有邊隻 stable with MTV3k?
因時常不在家, 要預錄有些擔心 overheat.
3. I upgraded to Beta 2.01, the 無線HD台 1080p 跳問題好像穩定了, 但是否稍後firmware會再improve? 'cos 比起其他台好像仍然有少許跳動, 我用三星52"F series.
4. The interface of MTV3k I think it's amazing. 但我發現 a bug,
a) 如果正在錄影, then Press "Play" button, 在 "已錄製的電視節目",
then press "Red" button will go to "主目錄", I can see 正在錄影中的節目showing "錄影中" 字樣.
b) 如果 press "Yellow" button "重複, 自由組合", 正在錄影中的節目 看不見 "錄影中" 的字樣. (應該一樣 看到"錄影中"吧?)
I love to use "重複, 自由組合", it groups by 節目name, it's so great and fast to locate the shows i want to watch
5. PM item has done Great!! good & fast response and supports, it's 1 of the best STB in the market now.. I will recommand MagicTV to my friends! Cheers.

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend! This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release!  After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP.
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
