禽日睇電視,睇睇下高清台個 screen freeze 左,聲就冇問題....
但係只要轉一轉台即刻冇事, 我宜家係用緊 2.01beta
之前 2.0beta 我都試過一次.不過,我果時用緊buffalo DS 640, 我以為係個buffalo 搞度 hang 左.
呢個唔知係 HARDWARE ISSUE 定係 Fireware bug?
我未試個 1.06 Firmware, 所以,唔知 1.06 有冇呢個問題... |

I have some question about MTV-3000
1. If I format HDD in PC, how large size MTV-3000 support? 1T, 2T?
2. If I use HDD tank, like Stardom, can it support? Size?
3. Upper screen still little bit 震 (Station 85), will it be sloved?
( Samsung 1080P 50Hz)
4. Which HDD with auto on/off you have tested and works fine?

No recording yet. Just plug antenna and HDMI to TV. I guess may be due to heat generated. My MTV3000 has a big heat sink without fan. The front panel display is off now but picture and on screen menu is normal. And there is no clock display.
Can I get replacement from dealer within 7 days purchase? |

About the front panel issue, are you recording when the problem? Anyway it's abnormal. You can try dowgrade to 1.06, but it seems like a hardware issue... If problem persist, the MTV3000 may need warranty service.

Hi Li On,
Just bought MTV3000 updated to 2.01 version. There is no antenna signal strength meter and red dot appeared at the left side of the front panel display. After watching for 30~40 min, the front panel display was turned off itself. No light even press the remote. Picture and on screen menu is still normal. Switch off the power for 15 min and restart the main switch, the front panel display is back but again watching a while, it turn off automatically. There is no response for setting front display in dim or normal level.
What's the problem? |

So far 好滿意 3000 的畫質, 當然, 1080p 可再改進就更好.
有時轉台較煩, 一來不太快二來非循環方式, 即係若要由最頂
去到最底, 13個台要按好多下 (定我有所遺漏?). 可否令最頂
的再上一下即去到底的選項及最底的再落一下便去最到頂呢? |

Please connect your Seagate FreeAgent to Windows PC, run the Seagate FreeAgent Tools software and change its "Drive Sleep Interval" setting to Never.
You also need to power cycle your Magic TV. |

I face below problem but your solution don't work.
And the file disappears after STB power on/off.
I am using beta 2.01, EXT2 format and Seagate FreeAgent 500GB.
- if there is recorded program in 1 second, please play the 1 second recording from the begining, and the recording length may become normal |

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release! After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP. 
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
