用了新的2.01b,之前開機無信號之情況確是改善了,
但在看錄影完之後,返回直播電視時,仍有無法收到信號之情況,
要轉台再返回才可看到高清台,煩請跟進....謝謝 |

Upgraded to firmware 2.01B, testing recording now.
Also bought a Stardom i-tank 302, confirmed the HDD can spin down when the STB is in standby mode.
Installed and formatted an 320G HDD bought 1.5 years ago, this HDD was never used, can't believe. Just use STB to format the HDD, where is the option of Fat32?
Now, don't know keep or return the Buffalo!!

Sony Bravia 40", 有一次開機, 1080I, HDMI sync唔到, 晝面花哂。要重開TV至得。
舊版一向無問題。如用PS3亦一向無問題。

我今天突發現LCD TV 左右各多了1條小黑邊, LCD TV 是1366x768 MTV3000 set 了1080i 50Hz, 之前沒有的....我嘗試set 1080i 60Hz就沒事,不過TVB Logo 就有輕微震......可解??? 我已經reset & restart了幾次都是這樣...... |

鐵騎之邦 hing, we have a WD MyBook 500G and it works fine with the MTV3000 recording. Please try to switch Off and On from the MTV3000 back panel power switch, try the back panel the other USB port, or another USB cable.

the WD my book should be already format with FAT32 and it is ready to use with the MTV3000.
go the menu of the MTV3000
menu->設定->錄影功能
you should see "remaining recording time display of your HD"
you can also use the last option "format HD" to format your HD to ext2. which is more stable than FAT32 when use. |

I am using Buffalo 650GB/Ext2
Now all the LED lights are off when standby. It seems everything is OK now. Good job.
you said "*when Output at HDMI 1080p 50Hz or 60Hz, the analog video output, Composite Video, S-video and Component video will be disabled". I found that it is not true. I have set to 1080P but the S-video is still working. ha ha...
The HDMI connection is faster.
one improvement: i found that the time skip function is not stable when playing playback (e.g. skip 30 seconds). please improve it in next firmware.

The red LED light up means HDD access, it doesn't mean standby.
Please try connecting Drive Station to PC, all LED lights gone on standby mode. |

While I am quite appreciated by your team's hard work on improving the firmware, with the new 2.01 beta firmware, I have found out that the picture still freezes and hangs during the play back of TVB Jade HD recorded program from my 2.5" Xander external harddisk drive(Seagate 100gb ide). Hope you will solve this problem next time. |

The red light on standby with Bufallo has gone!
So it was not normal.
Hope it did not cause any ill effect.
It seems to be working Ok for the last few days anyway. |

今晚用個TimeShift功能, 睇向世界出發. 當我按"Skip前"同"Skip後"制飛廣告後, 睇睇下MTV3000突然停左(Reboot with MAGIC TV on Front Panel).
個HardDisk淨低一個5分鐘既File. 之後每次Play個File, 部MTV3000就再Reboot.
希望新Firmware會改善喇.

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release! After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP.
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
