Sorry for the fast forward/backward bug at >8x playback in the 2.05 beta2!  It will be fixed in the next version.
We want to know if 2.05 beta2 really fixed the random picture pause/freeze and sound continue problem for some user. Please post comment here. Thanks in advance!

關於MHEG5我有一個問題
用16:9 TV既情況下
以前用MTV3000 睇D比例正常，用O記就會見到佢出到肥咗
但而家唔知係咪TVB整窄咗個Logo，用MTV睇個 TVB logo係窄咗
但D字/其他logo就正常(如天氣個太陽係圖既)
其實MTV定O先出得啱？
字幕我唔知有冇類似情況 |

With 2.05beta2 firmware, please try Bitstream OFF setting, if you still experience the loss of sound problem that can be recovered by switching channel, please bring your Magic TV to our service centre for checking. |

2.05Beta2 seems cannot solve the no sound issue. I got no sound or choppy sound and need to switch to another channel and switch back (HDTVB). Hope can solve with newer firmware. thanks |

kcichung, 唔見得MTV5000有好D的表現, 因為MTV5000 同MTV3000係同一副系統, 我2隻都用緊, MTV5000我升左 1.09後PHILIPS LCD TV會閃閃閃.... 正如前文所講, 一定要開tv先, 等一陣才開stb才沒事, 所以迫住要DOWN落1.07版, 無得雙台錄影, 比多D $, 仲要無得雙台錄影, 人地用MTV3000反而可以, 我打左去MAGIC公司留埋TEL, 一直都沒有回音, 而家MTV3000都有 beta2試下, 但係MTV5000仲未見到有改善版, 仲要等等等...
所以 MTV3000 多人用, UPGRADE都快D, 都係MTV3000好.
PS: 所有MTV3000的BUGS, MTV5000都有的, 因為是同一樣的系統軟件. |

I found that when I use the coaxial with 5.1 output but found that the sound will choppy intermittent using 2.05beta2 and also the fast forward problem. |

Find another problem, formatted WD Home 1TB in EXT2 by Parted CD and sucessfully test EPG recording function(although find audio problem) and playback by MTV3000(with audio problem) but I can't access the drive by Vista, the vista detect the drive and ask me format the disk while I click the driver icon, the Vista already installed ExtIFS and able to edit the file in my 160G WD passport which is formatted by MTV5000 in EXT2. |

Finally find the problem is the new cheap HDMI cable, I will replace it today, but the live and recording audio is unacceptable. already tested 2.05 beta and 2.05 beta 2 but audio problem still here. Is the auido chip same for 3000 & 5000? |

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release! After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP.
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
