我聽人講話可以用lan drive連接NETWORK 再由家用電腦的內聯網共用hard disk入面既FILE..
如果咁樣都得既話
咁可唔可以做到用NETWORK transfer data 去computer 做網絡傳送既錄影呢?
希望可以做到la 因為未必個個想買/有錢買個harkdisk錄影的 thank you!!!!  |

剛剛買左 mtv3000 用左2星期, 天天開機都會有hold畫面 聲音正常呢個問題, 有時開十零分鐘就hold, 有時又幾個鍾先hold, 要轉台先冇事 firmware係2.02 吾係a個個, 之後再上左2.05b hold畫面一樣係今  夠景係部機軟件問題定硬件問題呀 li on兄 |

貪有同頻錄雙台，所以繼續用2.05b |

少少意見, 我試過兩部MTV3000, 系唔同地方試, 好明顯, 在這裡有好多C HING提及過HOLD畫面, 花畫面, 冇聲, D聲幾離古LOO, 黑畫面丫咁, 我在一訊問較弱的天線一一出現, 但一去返強訊號天線就一D問題都冇. 2.05B. |

未知hing, are you using 2.02 or 2.02a? If you use 2.02 now, please try 2.02a if you don't want to update to 2.05 beta.

New User to MTV3000
上星期五買了MTV3000 (come with 2.02 firmware)及買了Buffalo HD-HS500U2.
在星期五及星期六出現問題
1. 有時MTV3000認了USB1.0/1.1 Device (但Buffalo HS-HS500US是2.0 Device)
2. 有時會聲音斷斷下需轉台解決
3. 在錄影時試過Hang左要restart power supply
星期日早上發現有2.05b升級左, 試過多次未見有以上情況1及2.
設好預錄"家好月圓". 深夜回家一開電視出現"未發現硬盤"現時仍給家人埋怨中  HD已開不知為何應不到
LCD TV: Samsung LA40A610 (connect with HDMI)
Magic TV: MTV3000 (connect with HDMI)
Buffalo : HD-HS500U2 (POWER MODE set to AUTO) 即會跟MTV3000開及關機, HD is format by MTV3000
今日把HD再用MTV3000 format, 買了另一條USB2.0線(因見到有些Forum說線質量不好)
唔知有冇人試過相同情況及如何解決? |

I understand that two TV programs can now be recorded simultaneously within a range of the frequencies with the new 2.05b firmware. However, having added the delay time of 3 minutes for the end of the program recording, the MTV 3000 system still requires you to confirm the priority of which of 2 TV programs to record first when recording 2 different EPG programs on the same channel (says TVB Jade) one after one within the same frequency. As such, I fail to undersatnd why it is neccessary to confirm the priority of which of 2 TV programs to record first as the new feature of the 2.05 firmware can record two different TV programs simultaneously or one after one.
Hope you will solve this problem.

無呀....自從update咗2.03b後就無再轉過, 早個禮拜都仲睇到, 都唔知乜解救........快D還返個高清奧運開幕禮俾我.........  |

不是太嚴重，幾日一次啦！
希望新 firmware 會改善，

thank you for your reply and just want to share with others who might find it useful, I booted up ubuntu and resize the partitioned created by mtv to a smaller size and then format the unused space to ntfs. works like a charm.
ubuntu seems slow though (it took 3-4 hrs to resize), I have been told by friends that other linux distribution are faster |

I am using maxtor basic, very happy with it except
1) the cheap plastic case
2) seems to draw more power than some others (need to take up 2 usb ports when connect to pc) |

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release!  After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP.
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
