請問各位版大, 小弟之前用MTV3000錄低咗奧運節目, 早幾日重播也沒有問題, 但今日再開黎睇畫面變咗漆黑一片, 無聲無畫......但最近錄影既節目又無影響喎, 可以照常播放, 請問有無解救方法? 謝謝! |

I have WD MyBook 1TB (1000GB), so far so good. About 150 hours of HD programmes. Last night just checked that only 20 hours capacity left. A lot of space is taken up by the recordings of Olympic games, each 4 to 5 hours. Hope there will be a true editing tool coming out so that I can cut them short. |

死啦.......Up左MTV3000 2.05 beta firmware成個禮拜。之前不嬲都識開左MTV一陣自己識訓覺既Seagate Freeagent Go 2.5"。依家唔識訓覺了。只係MTV3000 standby果陣識auto-off
重有發覺有時會無啦啦自己reboot.(唔係唔夠訊號)，係揀緊playback果陣hang. |

當我正在高清台 (如 CH85台) 觀看節目時, 想即時錄影標清台節目 (如CH82台), 它會自動跳到CH82台, 但不是每次都可以錄影到. "REC" icon and Panel timer 都是正常運作. 但harddisk就不動. 而在已錄好節目表中, 我只會看見一個一秒鐘的已錄好節目. 我想這會是在不同channel錄影的問題. Please check. |

哩個咪就係我講既每個人用既器材都唔一樣,就算一樣,大家用既習慣都有別,妳可想而知,中間會出現好多唔同既可能性。
2.05ver試用後感:
本人mtv3000長著唔關機!update完開tv再去hdmi睇mtv3000好多時都會有幾秒畫面之後自動重開【幾次】先正常番;
另外近日發現一開tv揀到mtv3000畫面hold住停格,聲音正常廣播(但係一定唔係畫面show緊既野囉)要揀第二個台再番轉頭先正常番;
試用edit功能正常,但係如果妳錄既經過edit之後有可能下次播時,該節目一開始會黑晒畫面無聲,妳按制play後少少,佢就會回復正常,play到!!!!
仲有成日有左上角互動模式logo show出好鬼煩,有無得唔so架!!! |

with 2.05 firmware still have 'Audio stutter issue', other recording function OK

I mention the following problem in other post before:
" 我部MTV3K係長開吾熄,升级2.05beta後, 我放覺隻Maxtor 750G Basic 再吾會一段時間冇access後自動進入備用模適(即是隻HD係停左冇轉,自有缘色指示燈慢閃), 我降回2.03beta和20.3beta2 都可以過一段時間冇access後自動進入備用模適. 再升2.05beta同回復出廠設定都吾可以, 係吾係2.05beta係就算冇錄影同HD播放都會長期access隻HD 咖.....
另外一個小問題係不論2.03beta/2.05beta如果設定時鍾係24H顯示, 但熄機開機或重新啓動後這設定係會自動還原返做12H 顯示. "

我岩岩試左standby mtv3k 2.05beta, maxtor basic同以往2.03beta一樣可以auto power down,連缘色指示燈都熄埋.
Maxtor Basic 係有二個模式, 一個係當USB冇訊號時佢會power down(缘色指示燈都熄), 另一個模式係當host冇access(read/write) HD一段時間,大約十分鍾或多小小(我冇詳細count過),即使host沒有關閉,maxtor basic 係會spindown隻HD, 但缘色指示燈會慢一光一暗話你知HD spindown左, 當host一有access(read/write)動作, 佢就自動spinup返隻HD,缘色指示燈會快閃, 當spinup完成後
缘色指示燈會長著, 有read/write缘色指示燈會閃. 以上動作在PC 或MTV3K 2.03beta或之前都一樣正確地進行. 自係當MTV3K升上2.05beta後就不能再係大約十分鍾或多小小自動進入備用模適(即是隻HD係spindown左,缘色指示燈慢閃), 所以我想問2.05beta係咪不在錄影式HD播放下都會經常地access隻HD. 如果係可不可以改回之前2.03beta甘不會經常地access隻HD. 雖然不是好嚴重問題,但我就是因為這樣我就再買多一套MTV3K, 但2.05beta就二套mtv3k都不能這樣做,只好用回2.03beta. 係望再新version可以做返啦

" 重有發現一樣野,當接Play制後出果個已錄節目Playlist, 個List 右下角有顯示HD可用的錄影剩餘時間,用同一隻HD(已有錄影之前節目,但冇加多減小)係2.03同2.03B2 係顯示剩餘高清87小時,但2.05就顯示剩餘高清80小時, 試下down返去2.03又顯示剩餘高清87小時.我隻HD係Maxtor Basic 750G, format係EXT3.

Bug with MTV3000 2.05 beta firmware:
Power On MTV3000 and start Recording with Recording Button
Change TV Input to MTV3000
No picture but have sound.
It is new after 2.05 updated ( not found in previous version )

We understand the extra "1 second" recording bug, it will be fixed in the next firmware. It should not affect the actual recording. Please manual delete the "1 second" recording.
For those having other problem with the new MTV3000 2.05 beta firmware, please list your system detail setup:
- your TV brand and model, video/audio connection type, HDMI, Component or composite/S-video and the output resolution and 50 or 60Hz, direct connect from the MTV3000 to the TV or through other device such as AV amp or switcher/selector, and Bitstream On or Off.
- external harddrive type (2.5" or 3.5") and storage size, brand and model, with or without separate power supply for the external harddrive
Please list the detail operation steps for us to reproduce the problem.
Please try to restore to your last firmware such as 2.02a, 2.03 beta or 2.03 beta2 to make sure it's a new problem with the 2.05 beta. You can download the MTV3000 old firmware below:

用2.05b，預錄後發現錄出黎既節目，
首先錄左1秒既file，跟住開第二個新file正常錄完，
唔知點解？你但其他都暫時正常 |

Thanks for the link. I got same trouble of installing the Ext2 driver without success. For the other program installed, the recorded files in FAT32 can be playbacked in computer now. Dont know why the Ext2 driver causes trouble in my computer.  |

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release! After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP.
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
