Hi Li On hing,
我是MTV5000 及 philips LCDTV的用家, 由第一天買MTV5000回家後, 已經發現MTV5000 的HDMI接上PHILIPS LCDTV不能穩定顯示, 每次開機都要拔插數十次HDMI線才可以有畫有聲穩定觀看. 於是致電到貴公司的CS後, 便出了 1.05 的升方案, 那一次更新後, 畫面聲音一次開機就OK, 不用拔插HDMI線多次. 直至升級到 1.07版都OK沒事, 沒有變聲, 沒有HANG機.
今天, 為了雙台錄製, 升級了1.09, 問題又出現了, 畫面閃閃閃... 要拔插拔插HDMI... 才會有穩定的畫面.
請問可否出多一個升級方案給我, 我想要好像 1.05, 1.07的穩定HDMI輸出方案, 謝謝!

If you want to try this set up, you need to create and format the two partitions (NTFS and ext2) in PC first. Magic TV is designed to read ext2 partition and ignore NTFS partition, so there is some chance that your set up may work, but no guarantee from me.  |

My Buffalo 500G is formated by MTV3000 in Ext2 format. I download the Ext2 drivers from the above url but cant installed successfully. Always prompt a message as below. The Buffalo HDD is detected by computer but no show in the My computer.

Setting of STB for "Auto Standby" in "Recording Setup" is already set to "auto". But I still noted that press any key on the remote control during timer recording cannot cancel auto standy mode. How can I fix it.

uspeed hing, you may try the 2.03 beta2 firmware in the first post of this thread http://www.avbuzz.com/bbs/av/av-thread-100524.html It may improve your audio problem.
Also you can turn off the "flashing icon" in recording or playback in the OSD->Settings->Info Format and scroll down to the last 2 items.

I just bought the MTV3000 and upgraded to 2.03beta, I found that when viewing the TVB HD channel for some time and 有斷聲情況, need to switch to another channel and select back the TVB HD and it will back normal. It happened everyday and already turn off the bitstream mode. Any new firmware that can be released soon?
In addition, if performing recording or playback from harddisk, one small logo will flash periodically indicating playback or recording, can it be set to none or a longer time?
Can the brightness of the MTV3000 panel display be set?

Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release! After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP. 
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
