To Pixel Magic,
Setting of STB for "Auto Standby" in "Recording Setup" is already set to "auto". But I still noted that press any key on the remote control during timer recording cannot cancel auto standy mode. How can I fix it.

A new product MTV5000-HKHT500D has been registered on Higher-tier Receiver Label in the following link.

Please set HDMI Audio to ON and Bitstream to OFF. Please try another HDMI input in your Samsung TV and, if available, try out another HDMI cable. You may also try downgrading firmware 2.03 beta to previous versions. If available, please also use an HDMI video disc player to verify that your Samsung TV HDMI audio is working correctly. Of course you can bring your Magic TV to our service centre for checking. |

上星期五晚用EPG選定錄影85台「發現新大陸」,原定時間為星期六22:00開始。星期六晚發現MTV3000 竟替我錄影了「奧運金牌精英黃金匯演」而「發現新大陸」就不翼而飛。
向朋友追尋下,得知無線85台在星期六將節目表更新了,「發現新大陸」延遲到22:30開始。MTV3000 沒有因節目表更新而依舊在原定時間(即22:00)進行錄影。因此錯誤錄了「奧運金牌精英黃金匯演」!

上星期五晚用EPG選定錄影85台「發現新大陸」,原定時間為星期六22:00開始。星期六晚發現MTV3000 竟替我錄影了「奧運金牌精英黃金匯演」而「發現新大陸」就不翼而飛。

建議如下:
1. 最好MTV3000 能追縱電視台的節目表更新,按照新定時間錄影。
2. 如節目取消了,則只需錄影數分鐘,以免浪費硬碟空間。但最好留下「節目掉動,取消錄影」等訊息。
3. 如節目延遲了而沒有更新節目表,則原有MTV功能(由用家設定延長錄影時間)可發揮作用。
EPG是非常好的構思,比以前用G-code應好得多,希望PM可加考慮,以免錯失節目。如有更好方案,請賜教! |

遠在京奧前睇無記高清台忽然發現一邊睇一邊會有d【bobo】聲隨住節目所發出,轉台又無左,有時轉番去高清台又有番,都唔知係部mtv3000問題定係無記問題,我係用hdmi出到三星tv架
有無師兄有同我同樣既問題呀? |

Request new feature:
Currently, we use Power button to switch on/off MTV3000.
Can you allow other buttons to switch ON MTV3000 as well. e.g. 'OK' key, 'Digit' Keys, 'Mute' key, ... TV remote allow this feature.
Please consider,

MyBook Essential 500G. I have two sets, one in FAT32 and one in Ext2.
Pre-format by WD to FAT32. All along OK.
Once I switch between the two harddisks. And then I find this problem. |

Which HDD are you using? What software did you use to format the HDD? Or you didn't format it at all?
For the problem you described, please try formatting the HDD by Magic TV. Note that you will lose all the recordings though. |

1.錄果時無爆格...但重睇時爆格都幾密...FW已經最新
2.係咪無錄完自動關機...(我校左開啟但都係唔會自己關)

本人住沙田公屋用mtv3k 買回用到現在都很正常無窒無hang機情況,所以吾知以上朋友係用室用天線定大厦公共天線呢? |

I am not sure if PM Staff will see
but i have a suggestion on 睡眠定時器
current there is NO alert before the count down is over.
I hope MTV can display a msg before 1min said
"睡眠count down will over soon. press a key to cancel"
It can clearly identify whether MTV is properly standby or hang機。

This is a similiar question to another post by me.
Please advise the method of exporting a recorded programme from a MagicTV MTV3000 to a USB drive, and then import and play the recorded programme in MagicTV MTV5000. I can't find the relevant option on the screen menu in MTV5000. Thanks.
Also, how to import a recorded video from MagicTV MTV3000 or MTV5000 to another STB (e.g. Olevia)? I would like to share the recorded video playback with friends. Thanks. |

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release!  After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP. 
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
