我用緊2.03 beta2,之前奧運冇乜大問題
但呢兩晚開始又有斷聲情況....
試過有一晚睇標清翡翠台畫面係咁窒,boot過機之後又冇事
其實關唔關電視台訊號事? |

This is not surprising. From what I had observed with a borderline external disk, the MTV STB would hang when trying to recognize the external HDD. Whenever your ext HDD went offline, the MTV STB would service the HDD checking process and nothing else would response. If your ext HDD went off/on-line repetitively, then the STB would look like it occasionally not responding to the remote control. I think Magic Pixel have to take a look at the system kernel. It looks like it either has problem handling multitasks in real-time or the HDD servicing process was not written properly and hogged the system from servicing other processes. |

Hi Li On Hing,
Can you let me know when would the MTV 3000 or 5000 be in stock in fortress? I checked with many Fortress shops in last couple weeks and none of them be in-stock on these 2 items. Is there any products be ready to sell in any of Fortress shop?

另外, 用MTV3K睇706MHz既大陸台(MPEG2, 4:3)時, 如果用16:9出, 較極都做唔到左右加黑邊...強行拉闊左
簡體EPG有D缺字, 但又唔係全部簡體都缺
btw, 呢個問題最細, 反正都唔會點睇...XD
硬體上又睇唔到最重要既CCTV高清(actually冇一隻香港版機頂盒得)
但唔知係咪台號太多既關係(加埋大陸770MHz試播有成21個, 平時既11~17, 19同81~85, 仲有大陸台901~908)
入EPG時, 會自動shift落下一個台度
e.g. 睇緊84台, 按EPG掣就出85台EPG |

裝左firmware 2.03 beta2 會不定期不停restart過一陣又會無事,所以都係轉番firmware 2.03 beta算啦!!!另外唔知有無師兄有我咁既情況,我個搖控原本好地地,用用下忽然最頂中間果個轉dvd/tv既制失靈,之後我嘗試過好多次重set都係唔得,有時仲會長制紅燈成個搖控hang晒!!!而家連其他學習功能都無晒!!!有無人都係咁呀?會唔會只係唔夠電既先兆呢?  |

Try checkdisk or defrag your Harddisk in computer. It works for me. |

我有個suggest........ update咗firmware 咪可以recording 期間睇其他同channel 台, 因為我屋企d老人家唔係好明乜原理, 成日係我錄緊時都唔噤同唔識轉台, 如果可以係個節目表到做一d mark (or 唔同colour) , 另外咪可以按 "ok" 出個簡單menu去選台, 可以直接只係show d 同channel就簡單好多. |

如果我在1080i錄影了之後，選去1080p，再播放時係1080i定係1080p呢?
係咪新firmware未解決這個問題?

為免誤會,我欲澄清昨晚的錄影問題如下:
當MTV3000停止錄影和提示硬碟已滿時,HD顯示尺仍有三分一空間和28小時高清錄影空間,估計錯誤是包含已刪除的節目但該等節目仍末在「廢物箱」作永久移除和悉放空間。
問題在計算邏輯不應包括「廢物箱」內的節目,即剩餘空間應等到「廢物箱」內的節目作永久移除後才加入計算,而不是bitrate所引致時間數字上的估計錯誤,剩餘空間用時間數字顯示出來是非常好的設計。
對不起,我之前寫得不夠清楚,特此澄清,謝謝你!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. It is caused by the Olympic closing ceremony having a much higher bitrate than the normal bitrate estimation in released firmware. Next firmware will improve handling for such cases. |

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release!  After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP. 
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
