咁多位..有D野想請教因小弟剛剛先買左第一部STB :D
呢兩日打風部MTV3000有D問題...
82 83 85 台有好多格仔...仲有個訊息話"沒有訊號,請檢查天線",之後畫面hang左...
有幾次hang hang 下自己仲無啦啦 reboot 埋...
到宜家成11PM都仲係咁....
其他果 11 個台係無事架..
我想問"信號質量"係咪一定要係100% ? 如果9x% 畫面會唔會窒? 有時會跳落 2x% 之後又跳返上去..
係咪打風所以會咁...但咁又點解其他經 MTV3000 o既台又無事??
我係用緊 2.01beta

今晚第三次試錄, 手痕set多 1分鐘 錄影, 即 8:01pm 開始,
咁就錄到、睇到. 冇問題!

跟住轉往 85台 高清TVB 關機
如事者晚上回來, 從已錄製的節目 中,
見到已經錄起 19台 亞視高清台 晚上 8:00pm 既節目, 長 59:XX秒,
好啦, 想play之際, 突然片長只剩回 0:01秒, 當然節目係睇唔到....
連續兩晚錄兩次都係咁.
已經係 2.03b , 正常我係睇到 19台 亞視高清台 的.
預錄 高清TVB、J2台 都冇問題的...
請問係乜問題呢? |

programme housekeeping (auto trash obsolete file) won't work until 2.02 beta.
If you get used to manually manage your disk, 2.01 beta may be good enough. |

Thankyou for your question which correct my post.
We need to pull out the left & right aluminum plate and the plastic stick first then pull out the hard disk but it is easy.
I do not have steady hand o take clear picture.
You may find picture not clear.

Hi MTV support team:
My MTV3000 frequently has machine "hang" problem. Mostly happens on TVB HD channel. Video freeze but audio still okay. I am using firmware version 2.03beta and using Buffalo 500G external HDD.
The video freeze problem also exist on the older 2.01 beta firmware.
I had checked the video signal quality and they are okay at 70% and 100% (video quality, I think). I had also put the machine on open space so the machine surface temperature is not really hot.
Should I return the player? Is this an hardware problem? Have you guys seen this before?

Hi All Bros
One of our bros stated that the hard disk inside the Buffalo 500G is Seagate long time ago. His mention ignites my interest to change the hard disk inside.
Therefore today I use the Buffalo 500G as a removable hard disk case.
Please do not mind I try to share with all yours.
Tear off the maintenance guarantee sticker, unscrew the covered screw ( this screw is different from those used to fixed the hard disk ), lift away the front black frame ( the front panel with silver transparent plate allows red and green light out ), pull out the aluminum plate on both left and right side, pull out the long transparent plastic stick genteelly ( this stick transmit the green and red light, there are a small 凹凸 spot to kept it in position ), unscrew those screws which fixed the hard disk, pull out the Seagate hard disk, insert another hard disk ( I insert the Western Digital 640G 16Mb buffer WD640KS16 cost HK$630.00, may be you consider Seagate 640G 32Mb buffer cost HK$700.00 which mention by $10.00 CPU magazine issue 142 page 12 but no model number ), insert back the long transparent plastic stick, insert back the left and right aluminum plate, cover back the front panel.
The whole item working normal even those green and red light also working normal.
Afterwards just use 2 fingers to pull out the hard disk and insert another one.
I use this method to save money.
It is no doubt that buy more brand new Buffalo is simple & easy but cost you more.

8月1日在瘋宅訂了MTV3000,8月4日取貨,店員說我好彩,因為他們電腦出錯了才會咁快可取貨  。扣回滙豐10%回贈,加多兩年保用,盛惠$2067.3。第一時間自動搜台,幾分鐘完成。升級2.03beta亦佷快。駁埋WD MB500G(FAT32),錄影OK。但PM推介用EXT2,就即時用MTV3000 format EXT2。Format 亦非常快,只需1分鐘。
基本上所有表現十分滿意。但有以下建議:1.每次開機都出現"發現USB裝置",需按OK取消。2.在EPG按OK選台後,需按<-才可取消EPG畫面。 |

Dear MTV support (LiOn, Peter and many other)
I like to propose some features at MTV3K for convenience. The features could not take much effort, but
it could please many MTV user (at least me). Hope you could consider to incorporate in next firmware release.
BTW, if MTV users feels that feature is good, grateful if you could reply to show support too.
1. Add deletion by date.
As programmes grow, HD freespace deplete. We would backup our programme of interest to other storage.
After backup, we probably would not delete the files at MTV right away until the disk is real full.
By that time, if we need to delete those backup, it'd better provide deletion by date so that all files
could be deleted right away to free hassle to manually delete one-by-one.
2. Editable programme's category
We would like to edit the name of category so as to match one's preference. Good category's name could help
recalling the programme from the category as needed.
3. Add Page up and down for programme selection at recorded programme menu.

Hi PM Staffs,
I have another side issue. Do you delay delivery of MTV3k to Fortress in these 2 weeks? I'd ordered for another MTV3k since Jul 25 at Fortress and the sales keep delaying the delivery date to me and just blame to PM (already deferred from Aug 4, then Aug 6, and last night they told me may be Aug 11 and can't confirm because of PM!).

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend! This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release!  After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP.
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
