hi shingouki, a bad USB cable may cause random problem. Please try another short USB cable. If your HDD is a 2.5" model without external power, it's not recommended. In general, HDD formated in Magic TV is more stable. You can also call our support line 26556768.

I have a WD USB harddisk formatted as FAT32 that gets disconnected from the USB all the time. After which I have to reboot the harddisk. I am using Firmware 4.0, any idea what is the problem? |

My remote control for MTV3000 is out of order after using for 1.5 year. It drains out all battery power in 2 days whenever new batteries are replaced.
I called the hotline and a techican told me to get a new one at HK Science Park. However, I really have no chance going there as the office hour
for the repair centre of Pixel Magic is exactly the same as mine.
I am wondering if anyone has the same experience and got an alternative for the remote? Thanks! |

我前幾日部 Magic TV 3100D & 3000 ( 巳經係 firmware 4.0), 都係有晒你們近期所講的問題的...( but can"t solve the problem now ...................)
- 間唔中會 Hang 機
- 間唔中會 Reboot
- 間唔中會顯視無天線訊號, 畫面會停了一陣, 幾秒後又會無事. (天線係無問題, 接收都有 80 至 90幾 %)
- 經常hold機或restart, hold機係hold往喺pane show "please wait" 畫面, restart就試過restart後問 "ok?" 都唔知佢問咩 ?
- 前幾日仲死埋咗一隻 WD 1.50G 3.5”exteral既 hard disk (( 唔見晒啲嘢已不但止,己經做左幾次Harddisk復修但都係冇晒所有之 前用咗 6 個月時間錄落既所有節目 ,呢次真係金啦........... 。
琴日走去換返一隻新嘅 BUFFLO 1.5G 3.5 EXT 返嚟再用又應到 harddisk 同錄到節目睇，但尋晚再 CHECK 下睇番又唔見晒啲 嘢......?????? 之後已經做左幾次Harddisk復修但都係 display hard disk error 8 only....但之後 check 番 menu 都係唔見晒之前錄咗啲 嘢........???? pls 盡快 help help help help 小弟有咩嘢方法可解決...............是否一定係 try try download 3.8 firmware only ??????? 攪到我兩日都無覺好訓 !!! 我想住 Magic TV 這個牌子, D 電腦雜誌和朋友都話用過幾好我先去買它的.
點知玩了兩日後... 仲話我個新買的 NESO Hitachi 1TB hard disk error ???
天呀... 我已經很疲倦了... 本來都想住拿回去 百老X 度換過部...
好好彩俾我來到這個討論區, 我用了很多時間去爬了這個主題,
決定 Downgrade 我部 3100D 做 firmware 3.08 !!!
哈哈... Downgrade 完後... 玩了幾日已經...
無再 Hang 機, 無再 Reboot, 無 再顯視無天線訊號,
我個 Hitachi 1TB hard disk 無做過任何 repair 的動作,
現在可以正常地運作和讀回之前錄的檔案. 我終於可以安心睡覺了 !!!
個人覺得, 有咁多用戶報告個 firmware 4.0 有很多 BUGS 和會發生比較嚴重的問題,
而使到用戶係用唔到個設備, 就應該立即停用這個更新, 使情況不要再惡化開去.
盡快找出問題所在, 而推出另一個新的 firmware 4.X 作出補救.
如果唔係不但會使到新買的用戶對 Magic TV 這個品牌失去了信心,
而且亦會打擊到舊有用戶對它的支持度. 我想 Magic TV 的 Fans
一定會很想有一個完美的 4.X 改良新版的 (包括我在內),
我會暫時用住 3.08 firmware, 等待著你們的努力.... 加油呀...!!! |

I just bought 3600D half month (v4.0), all functions are OK, no reboot, only the bottom plate is very hot.
After I edit the recording programs and copy it to a USB HDD a few times, some others recording programs are collapsed and their size became 0KB.
But the most serious problem is that it can't recieve any signal now. And one thing I find its antenna port cann't be hold firmly by any antenna cables I have in hand.
(the technician by MagicTV told me their connectors are designed for the standard of "Sharp" turner)
I can swing the cable aonnector when it has connect to the antenna in port at my MTV3600D.
I am very disappointed about its performance. |

Had to cycle power from switch at the back of the unit to get to work again. |

You have to set the priority even when recording same channels program.
I have almost the exact same situation with you except I am recording CSI Season 8 every Thursdays on Channel 16. I had to set an extra So Good on Thursday night on Channel 81 to accomodate that.
Last night both programs were successfully recorded. Priority was set as follow:
CSI > So Good (81) > So Good (85)
That said, I agree with you that you shouldn't need to set 84/16 ahead of 81 since they are the same channel group! |

Last night I encountered another problem with my MTV3000 with 4.0 firmware - after pressing the "pause" key to go into review mode, everything just froze, I had to do a hard power cycle to restart the box. After restart, I could go into review mode using pause and everything seemed OK again. |

我用緊 MTV3000 3100D 同 5000。
用咗 4.0 後， 三部機都成日自己 reboot! 死咗一隻 WD 500G 2.5” hard disk! 去換返一隻新嘅返嚟，尋晚又唔見晒啲嘢。我以為又死咗，不過用電腦 format 返 NTFS, 再比 MTV reformat 去 Ext2 又再用得翻。 因為部 MTV 搵唔到個 HD。
好處就喺我可以 programme 個 Logitech remote 去分別控制兩部放喺同一位置嘅 MTV  |

又係我呀, 發現 4.0 FIRMWARE 的一個新問題. (可能舊D的FIRMWARE 都有相同問題, 不過以前冇遇過.)
話說阿蘇的蘇GOOD又做新一輯, 我就立刻 SET EPG 錄啦 (85台, 一至五). 但係我其實之前用EPG SET 咗逢星期二錄FLASHFORWARD 的. 於是我就再用EPG SET 逢星期二用錄81台的蘇GOOD.
由於我部係MTV3000, 得一個TUNER, 咁我SET 81台的蘇GOOD為較高優先次序啦, 跟據以往經驗, MTV3000 應該會錄81同84台, 而唔會錄85台的. 點知....
81台的蘇GOOD當然有錄, 85台的當然冇錄, 但係84台的FLASHFORWARD 就只係錄咗後半截...(即係前半截應該兩台同錄的時段錄唔到.) 可能係我之前 SET 85台錄蘇GOOD的時候個PRIORITY 高過84台, 但係既然個TUNER 已經 SET 番去舊四台, 佢應該錄得埋84台的FLASHFORWARD呀!
麻煩 Li On check 吓, 係唔係4.0 的FIRMWARE 有呢個LIMITATION, 同埋可唔可以係下一版改善一下. |
