Here is my experience:
1. you need to have a dummy ts file in the ts folder
e.g. if you have a ts file you want to play for 30 mins
then you need to have record a random program for 30 mins
2. Obtain your ts file and overwrite into the dummy ts file you have recorded, please make sure the filename is the same.
After that you should able to watch in MTV
However, some of the TS file need to remux, just use the tool tsremux
Moreover, if you have a MKS file, you can also use the tsremux to remux it to TS file.
but pls reminded that the default FPS for MTV3K is 25, so, if you have a TS of different FPS, you may have problem to play on MTV.
(I will try to use tsremux to change FPS to match with MTV)
will someone develop a tool to modify the database file in the root folder, in that case, we can simply put the ts file, update the db, and we can view the program in MTV directly :P |

Can u share how to do this more detail. I also tried to copy the .ts file intot ts folder and rename it. But I can't play smoothly.

How can you set the length of the .TS file?
I copied a TS file onto the machine and renamed it to the program that I just recorded (length: 1m 30s). The file can be played without any problem but it can just played the first 1m 30s but not 15mins which is the playing time of my .TS file.
Any clue?  |

I just copy the remux .ts file to mtv3k and "rename" it and pretending it to be another native recorded programme.
The 34-min is just one of the 4GB file downloaded together with the bluray remux pack. Of couse there's need several 4GB files for view a complete movie.
That's just my primarily trial which took just 3 mins.
I'm trying to use more time figuring out how the .tv file layout.
By viewing its content briefly, it should be a file declaring its corresponding .ts file.
And I expect that mtv3k will serve as a media player later on by viewing its front panel
(could refer to my other post mentioned about the front panel)
