Hi WY,
Just a guess, this may be your first time trying to take night shoot.
- try to use a tripod instead of handheld the camera, play with
different exposure setting (longer shutter time, different apertures).
- just search for a spot so that you can see the street without
having to capture the garbage bin and the fence.
- on the left hand side of this pic, there is about 1/6 of the pic
contain something that you may not want.
- if you like the head/tail light trails, try to focus on that part
and find a place that you can shoot from a higher angle, without
other distractions,
- check out other examples, find those elements that you like and
practice.
