The photos were taken by my newly bought 1DMk3 (blue dot). Canon did cure the problems. So strange that when I use the Standard Mode, the Contrast and Saturation need to -1 or -2 at the default setting, as for my personal favour. It's not a typical Canon.
My ratings for the 1DMk3 is the photo quality have exceeded 5D and every close to 1DsMk2, only that it is not of full frame design which most people adore to. I like the 1.3X because it escapes from the edges distortion and enjoy tele advantage of cropped factor. The 3D feel and depth of field presentation is better than 1.5X. I like its continuous high speed that I used very often.
I am very satisfied with this gem. Too bad that I owned a bad copy before.

I took a lot more today. After that, I went to Canon for further info of the AI Servo. The staff told me to set the AF sensor at -1 whilst the default is set at 0. The staff stressed that many professionals found the default was being set too fast (sensitive) at 0 where only the EF 200/1.8 fits for the scale. Most EF lenses should be set the AF sensor at -1. I will try again next week.
The most weakness of my set is the widest aperture of my 300mm is f4. The Dslr only can use 19 pcs cross sensors for focusing while the horizontal sensors (26 pcs assistant sensors) remain useless because it can only works with the f2.8 lenses, thus I missed the 45 points focusing. The Canon staff told me that the Dslr can work (focusing) with the f2.8 lenses by 2 times faster than the smaller aperture lenses. |
