也就是说，D3在快速连拍时，即使镜头和鸽子之间出现障碍物，D3照样可以咬住鸽子不放。
如果在鸽子后面出现反差大的物体呢？试试看。

I tried to shoot against a brick wall by using the same ZF lens(85/f1.4) pounting on D3, 1 Ds Mark III & 5D. This is result.
Setting in each body all are at "Standard", and Sharpness etc are all set at ZERO. |

Sunny，Linda和我差点买了E3 + 12－60SWD + 50-200SWD，已经和店里谈好总价27300。但是两个人试机试下来感觉不好，操纵感、快门声和机身防抖效果都没有吸引力，最后没买。O记会出高象素全幅吗？  （我不懂4/3系列的全幅是怎么样的）
PS:我已经准备了尼康转EOS的接圈。接下去，我想把5D加进去，用同一支ZF镜头装在三个全幅机身上重新试验一下，看看清晰度、色彩还原、锐度、对比度等等有何差别。 |

After that, I suddenly found a pigeon standing at the edge of the fifth floor balcony, and looks like it is ready to jump out.

It jumps.....
Press and shoot.....
To my surprise, for all 27 frames continue shooting, 1 Ds Mark III always bites pigeon very well, even though the distance between pigeon & camera is changed repidly, and the roof of another building and trees interrupt the focusing system.
1 Ds Mark III is a great camera. It changes my original thought that it is good for portrait & scenery, but no good for continuously shooting. It is GOOD! 
Now I need trying D3 for AI Serve..... I need time & lucky

JB, digital back? It is poison  Will not try now.
The third trial is AI serve focus. I did not perform focusing comparison, as I do think both of them should be okay. So, I start trying to compare these bodies by shooting flying birds. It is very very very very very difficult! I hardly give up, but anyway, I found the interesting result - 1 Ds Mark III looks like a giant with 2100M pixels, it should not be able to shoot continuously very well, but it did!
Look at this group, some of them are defocus, but it is my fault, not 1Ds Mark III's. |

Thanks James, Micro detail on the 1Ds III will surely win the D3 with half of the pixel. I once saw a comparison between a digital back vs 1Ds III. The 1Ds III shots looks like a disposable camera comparing to the digital back... just my observation. |

From the original photos, I do think there is not much noticeable difference between D3 and 1Ds mk3. But from the cropped photos, you are 100% right. D3 performs better and its noise looks more comfortable than 1DS mk3. Having said that, the details in 1DS mk3 is better than D3, perhaps it is related to the high pixels that Canon offers.
For those who wants to know the full frame difference between Canon and Nikon, the tests by James tell us a lot.
Judging from the price and the test quality, I would think D3 is more 'Value For Money'. While if you chase for perfection at the time being, you should buy 1DS mk3.
