Good to hear from you and can't wait any longer to hear your testing report for D700
As for D3X, a presumed 24MP or equivalent one from Nikon to rival 1Ds III. Well it is also good to compete directly and that is why Nikon has been so successful.
Having said this, how about the colour of D700. I have an impression of colour of D300 being too digital and that of D3 being too artful. Correct me if I am wrong. |

Price is around $20,000 ? So whether it is value for money ........ I am not sure. Should depend on the picture quality first .....

Before my D700 arrives.....I have just upgraded my D3 firmware to 2.0, AF is even faster than before! More accurate AWB, Cheers to Nikon!  |

Sunny hing, I will probably get it but not right away this time since I now own 3 D3 bodies so the D700 is a nice to have. I will probably sell one of the D3 (the most used one) and get the D700 when the price is not so ridiculous. So, it is most likely that you and Bird hing will be way ahead of me
BTW, I think the pics that you have just posted are probably not the real product. If you pay close attention to the character 7 of the D700, it looks like a poor photoshop job, the FX logo too. In addition, I am not sure if the D700 will have a built in flash. The links that you have provided previously looks very real tho. |
